at the 29th Chase Corporate Challenge
SYRACUSE, March 9, 2011 — Start summer off on the right foot by helping make the 29th edition of the Chase Corporate Challenge® in Syracuse the largest in the long history of the event.
Online registration is now open for the 3.5-mile team road race held annually at Onondaga Lake Park. The race, which begins at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, is an ideal way to bring your colleagues together for some exercise and a celebration of the beginning of summer.
All the information you need to register your company's team is on the Syracuse Registration Page.
The entry fee for the 2011 Chase Corporate Challenge in Syracuse is $30 per entrant and the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will make a donation on behalf of the Corporate Challenge to a worthy not-for-profit organization that will be announced prior to event night.
All entries must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. There is no limit to the number of employees that can be on a company team. Awards will be given to the five fastest men's, women's and mixed teams. The first-place teams in those categories will also receive an invitation to the 2012 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, date and location to be determined. Winning Syracuse teams from 2010 who have qualified for the Championship in Singapore are Harris RF (men's team), Lockheed Martin (women), and NYSDEC (mixed).
Last year's race attracted 6,791 entrants from 259 companies. That marked the 13th consecutive year the race has drawn 6,000 or more participants, especially impressive because Syracuse is the smallest city in the worldwide JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge. This year, the race is aiming to break the record of 7,501 entries set in 2000.
Coming soon you will enjoy some substantial upgrades at www.jpmorganchasecc.com, including company home pages with features to make it more fun and efficient to share the excitement of participating in the Corporate Challenge. We will also be launching a Syracuse-specific Facebook page.
Once again, the Chase Corporate Challenge in Syracuse also will be "Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow" by utilizing best environmental practices, including registering online, taking alternative transportation to race site, and appropriately recycling on race night.
