Corporate Challenge in Singapore
SINGAPORE, January 17, 2011 — Online registration for the 8th annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® in Singapore is now available. The 5.6km team road race will be held on Thursday, April 21 with a 6.00pm race start on Esplanade Bridge.
The Corporate Challenge debuted in Singapore with 6,766 participants in 2004 and last year’s crowd increased substantially to 11,753 total entrants from 369 companies. It is likely that this year’s race will reach full capacity and race organizers are currently investigating methods to accommodate larger crowds.
Singapore is also serving as the host country for the 2011 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship — featuring the first-place men's, women's and mixed teams from all 12 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge cities around the world. The Championship start will be five minutes before the regular race on April 21 so all Singapore entrants can be part of the pageantry.
The entry fee for the 2011 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Singapore is SGD50 per entrant and the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will make a donation on behalf of the race to worthy not-for-profit organizations that will be announced prior to event night.
All entries must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. There is no limit to the number of employees that can be on a company team. Awards will be given to the three fastest men's, women's and mixed teams. The first place teams in those categories will also receive an invitation to the 2012 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, date and location to be determined.
