Get ready, Chicago: Registration
open for May 24 Corporate Challenge

CHICAGO, February 7, 2012 — Online registration for the 31st annual JPMorgan Chase & Co. Corporate Challenge® in Chicago is now available. The 3.5-mile team road race/post-race party will be held on Thursday, May 24 with a 7:10 p.m. starting horn at Grant Park.
Chicago’s most popular corporate sporting/social event had an amazing crowd of 23,361 entrants from 634 companies in 2011. Matt Flaherty of Winston & Strawn was the first-place male in 16:14, with Jill Czarnik of Accenture breaking the finish-line tape for the females. Blue Cross Blue Shield led the way in terms participation with a massive team of 743 runners and walkers.
The entry fee for the 2012 event is $45 per entrant and the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will make a donation on behalf of all participants to a worthy not-for-profit organization that will be announced prior to event night.
The Chicago race is the largest single-evening Corporate Challenge in the U.S. and the second largest in the Series, trailing only Frankfurt, Germany, which drew 68,454 in 2011.
Adding to the competitive flavor in Chicago this year is the 2012 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, featuring the top three teams from each of the 13 cities from seven countries in the Series. This race will be held on the same Grant Park race course with a start approximately seven minutes prior to the Corporate Challenge.
There are also two Facebook-driven initiatives for the Chicago event in 2012:
- Chicago co-sponsor Equinox will be offering weekly tips and training programs to get you in shape for this year’s race. Lead Equinox trainer Kai Karlstrom will be providing online tips in the coming weeks on the Facebook page.
- And your company can also be a winner off the course by participating in the annual T-shirt Contest. Start planning your company’s race night apparel and enter it for a chance to be included in the popular vote conducted via the Facebook page.
