Chicago, February 10, 2009 — The JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge has become a wildly popular kick-off to the Memorial Day weekend among Chicago corporations, and the tradition figures to continue with this year's race scheduled for Thursday, May 21.

Online registration for the 28th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® in Chicago is now available. The 3.5-mile team road race will usher in the Memorial Day weekend with a 7:10 p.m. race start at Grant Park on May 21.

The Chicago Corporate Challenge began its most recent run of popularity in 2005 when the race was moved to the Thursday before Memorial Day. Chicago corporations immediately let it be known that they liked the switch. Since 2005, the size of the event has grown by 62 percent, and in 2008, Chicago was the largest, single-night Corporate Challenge event in the U.S. Some 23,603 runners and walkers from 632 companies took part last year.

That popularity figures to continue this May, so please notify your colleagues that registration is now open and begin assembling your team for this celebration of corporate fitness and camaraderie.

The entry fee for the 2009 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Chicago is $40 per entrant. All entries must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. Again this year, the Chicago Corporate Challenge will be part of the “Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow” campaign, which uses best environmental practices in the organization of the event. Thanks in part to your responsible choices last May — registering online, recycling waste and taking alternative transportation to race site — the Corporate Challenge was named by Runner's World as one the Top 10 Green Road Races of 2008.

The JPMorgan Chase Foundation will also make a donation for each entry to a worthy not-for-profit organization that will be announced prior to event night. Please check back to this web site for more information.
