Registration opens for Buffalo's
corporate social event of the year

BUFFALO, March 16, 2011 — Registration has opened for the biggest corporate social and fitness event of the year in Buffalo — the 31st annual Chase Corporate Challenge®.

The 3.5-mile team road race will be held on Thursday, June 9, with a 6:45 p.m. race start at Delaware Park. All the information you need to register your company's team is on the Buffalo Registration Page.

Last year's 30th year celebration of the race illustrated just how popular the Corporate Challenge has become in Buffalo. An outstanding crowd of 11,456 participants from 401 companies gathered on the green expanse of Delaware Park.  That marked a 15-percent increase from 2009, and another 15,000 or so joined their colleagues to party in more than 300 corporate tents into the summer night.

“This definitely is the biggest party of the year in Buffalo,” Erie County Executive Chris Collins said from the start stage last year.

It's easy to join in the fun and fitness by reserving your company's spots now.

The entry fee for the 2011 Chase Corporate Challenge in Buffalo is $30 per entrant and the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will make a donation on behalf of the Corporate Challenge to a worthy not-for-profit organization that will be announced prior to event night.

All entries must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. There is no limit to the number of employees that can be on a company team. Awards will be given to the five fastest men's, women's and mixed teams. The first-place teams in those categories will also receive an invitation to the 2012 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, date and location to be determined. Winning Buffalo teams from 2010 who have qualified for the Championship in Singapore are Moog (men's team), Niagara Wheatfield CSD (women), and Tonawanda City Schools (mixed).

Buffalo is the second longest-running event in the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series, trailing only the 35-year-old founding race in New York City. Buffalo's race began small in 1981, drawing 425 participants from 60 companies, but has become a community tradition since.

If you or your colleagues are new to the Corporate Challenge, please view our highlights video from last year's race to learn about the benefits of corporate camaraderie, team-building and healthy competition.

Coming soon you will enjoy some substantial upgrades at www.jpmorganchasecc.com, including company home pages with features to make it more fun and efficient to share the excitement of participating in the Corporate Challenge. We will also be launching a Buffalo-specific Facebook page.

Once again, the Chase Corporate Challenge in Buffalo also will be "Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow" by utilizing best environmental practices, including registering online, taking alternative transportation to race site, and appropriately recycling on race night.
