BUFFALO, April 3, 2008 – Two outstanding not-for-profit organizations will benefit from the 28th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Buffalo on June 5.

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Buffalo Prep will each receive a donation from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation in connection with the Corporate Challenge. Charitable giving is a key component of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series, with locally-designated donations at each of our 12 events in six countries on five continents. More than $1.5 million has been provided to not-for-profit organizations in Corporate Challenge markets since 2005.

The Olmsted Parks Conservancy is an independent, not-for-profit, membership-based, community organization whose mission is to promote, preserve, restore, enhance and ensure the maintenance of Olmsted-designed parks and parkways in the Greater Buffalo area now and for future generations. JPMorgan Chase is proud to annually hold the Corporate Challenge at Delaware Park, an Olmsted park.

Created in 1989, Buffalo Prep has been improving the educational landscape for disadvantaged minority students. It identifies and meets the academic, social and cultural needs of thousands of gifted students who once found too little challenge and support in their neighborhood schools and at home. Its goal is to provide students with the resources necessary to become life-long learners and agents of change in their communities.

Representatives from both organizations will be hand on event night to make participants more aware of the good work they do in the Buffalo community. The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Buffalo Prep are worthy additions to a worldwide roster of Corporate Challenge beneficiaries.
