Welcome to the 2008
JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge

welcome
Runners at London, part of a global celebration of corporate fitness and camaraderie.

Dear Company Captain,

On behalf of my colleagues, we welcome you to the 2008 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® Series, our 32nd consecutive year of hosting this global celebration of corporate fitness and camaraderie, and one that will feature important changes.

Our general format – an after-work, 3.5-mile team road race – remains unchanged. It doesn’t make sense to mess with a proven formula, particularly when we are coming off a year in which each of our 12 cities worldwide enjoyed a participation increase. That marks the first time in Series history that every Corporate Challenge event grew from one year to the next.

It’s that popularity that made it even more important that we look at the big picture. So, in 2008, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the 225,000 Corporate Challenge participants will be Teaming Up For A Greener Tomorrow. Every Corporate Challenge event will have a variety of tactics designed to lessen the consumption of energy and paper resources. Some of these tactics – printing our t-shirts with soy ink, sourcing only environmentally-friendly vendors, providing shuttle transportation at many of our races – we will take on. Others – such as a goal of 100-percent online registration, and on-site recycling – we will need your help with.

Our goal is to become the “greenest” road racing Series in the world and after every event we’ll provide a “scoreboard” on how we are doing, with understandable measurements of carbon emissions saved.

Over the course of the year, you’ll note some other changes – a newly-designed Web Site, for one; how to submit and vote for your favorite t-shirts being another. Be proud to wear your company “uniform” on our starting line and show the business community how you are committed to wellness, the environment and the community.

To the latter, JPMorgan Chase & Co. will continue to make a donation for every entry to worthy not-for-profit organizations in each Corporate Challenge city. Over the last three years, the JPMorgan Chase Foundation has donated nearly $1.8 million through the Corporate Challenge, helping us earn the designation “Charitable Event of the Year” from United States Track and Field.

You are encouraged to register for all of our events at www.jpmorganchasecc.com. Click on your city on our home page schedule for all the details. You'll find tools to help you track registration, payments, team t-shirt sizes, and to communicate with your runners.

For your convenience, we accept credit card payments from individual runners, or for an entire team. You still have the option to pay for your company by a single check, even if your runners enter online. And remember, your race coordinator is only a phone call or email away if you need assistance. Here is a list of contact numbers.

We wish you and your company the best of luck in 2008. Thank you for helping to make this event a terrific success for your company and your colleagues, and for teaming up with JPMorgan Chase for a greener tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Barbara Paddock
JPMorgan Chase & Co.
