Dick Argys, Chief Administrative Officer & Senior Vice President, Boston Children’s Hospital, speaks to runners at the starting line for the 2017 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge.

For the second consecutive year, The Every Child Fund at Boston Children's Hospital will return as the beneficiary of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in the Back Bay.

Michael Bornhorst, Associate Vice President, Corporate Development and Special Events for Boston Children’s Hospital, explained how the efforts of Corporate Challenge participants will make a difference in the hallways of one of Boston’s most iconic institutions.

“Funds provided to The Every Child Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital help propel research that transforms treatments for our most stubborn diseases,” Bornhorst said. “It helps provide compassionate care to every family who comes through our doors, eases their burden and covers services insurance won’t pay for. From big needs, like housing, interpreters and social workers, to small comforts like birthday celebrations, medical play, and therapy dogs, The Every Child Fund supports all levels of family-centered care.”

J.P. Morgan will donate on behalf of all Corporate Challenge entrants to The Every Child Fund, part of the more than $750,000 that will be donated throughout the 2018 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series

Boston Children’s Hospital’s mission statement is to provide the highest quality health care, to be the leading source of research and discovery, to educate the next generation of leaders in child health and to enhance the health and well-being of children and families in the local and global community.

“At Boston’s Children’s, we are servant leaders,” Bornhorst said.  “We’re work with one end goal: providing the best care to our patients and their families. Our laser focus on those we serve helps us to collaborate, innovate and to support each other as our own Boston Children’s family.”

Boston Children’s Hospital is ranked #1 on U.S. News & World Report’s list of best children’s hospitals for the fourth year in a row. And Bornhorst was also happy to thank Corporate Challenge companies and entered participants and relate how they can assist Boston’s Children’s year-round at various events in The Hub, and directly.

“Our team works with individuals, families, foundations and corporations to advance the hospital’s patient care, research, medical training and community health initiatives,” Bornhorst said. “We're also the faces behind many annual fundraising events, like the Mix 104.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon, Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital, Milagros para Niños Gala and many others. Whether you participate in an event, create a fundraiser or make a gift, you're helping Boston Children's change the future of health for every child, here and around the world.”
