It’s one of the happiest nights of the year for the Singapore business community.  The 16th annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, scheduled for 28 March, is open for registration.

“Don’t be late” is an appropriate theme for this year’s J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Singapore, the 16th annual running of the 5.6km team road race in this sunny city-state.

Registration is now open and you won’t want to wait to register your team with organizers expecting to fill all 14,500 available spots on or before 1 March, the latest date any entries can be accepted.

Then, once you secure your company’s spot, note that the race is scheduled for Thursday, 28 March, with a 5 p.m. starting horn in front of the National Gallery Singapore.  That is the earliest date on the schedule this event has ever been held, and the earliest start time.

Registration is SGD 70.00 per entrant. Your company may enter a minimum of four employees, and there is no maximum.  The 2018 crowd numbered 14,256 runners and walkers from 390 companies.

Hospitality registration is also open today and reserving space near the F1 Pit Building in Marina Bay presents the ideal opportunity to turn your company’s run into a full outing.  There are various options for food and beverage and it provides a secure location for you and your colleagues close to the finish line.

The 10 largest participating 2018 companies in terms of entrants were: StarHub (602 entrants), Deloitte (501), SAP (325), Visa (250), Cisco (225), Standard Chartered (204), PwC (200), Oracle (199), Microsoft (169), BNP Paribas (164), ANZ (152), and SATS (150).  Owner and operator of the Corporate Challenge J.P. Morgan had 542 entries.

MOH Holdings (men), Deloitte (women) and Bloomberg (mixed) were the first-place teams in last year’s race and have earned invitations to the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, date and location to be announced soon.  Individual men’s and women’s champs, respectively, were Gen Lin Foo of MOH Holdings and Suzy Walsham of Symantec.

Singapore will be the debut event in the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series, just a few hours before the Johannesburg, South Africa race on the same date.  The Series is marking its 43rd consecutive year of operation and the first race in Singapore was held in April 2004.
