LONDON, March 11, 2009 — London 's corporate runners came out in rain and shine for the 2008 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. Now, they have a chance to get a jump on entering the 2009 race.

Online registration has opened for the 2009 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® — scheduled over two nights in Battersea Park — Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9. Be a part of the 23rd year of this unique corporate event by organizing your company's team and registering now.

An early bird entry fee of £20 per person, including chip timing for the first time, is available. The entry fee will increase to £21 per runner for entries received after Wednesday May 20. Hospitality packages — providing the opportunity to give your company a true summer outing — are also available.

Race nights will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so please register early — once the race is full, additional runner applications will not be accepted. Please note, a company can sign up for one race night only. Awards will be given to the fastest five men’s, women’s and mixed teams and the three most creative t-shirt designs.

All entries in the Corporate Challenge must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. There is no limit to the number of employees that can be on a company team. The race distance is 5.6 km with some runners — such as 2008 champions Phil Wicks of Legal & General and Emily Adams of Punter Southall — recording fast times of 16:17 and 19:52, respectively. Others take a slower approach. But, no matter the speed of the runner, virtually everyone shares in the goodwill and camaraderie of being with colleagues in a unique out-of-the-office setting.

The London J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge will raise funds for SportsAid, the charity that supports the next generation of sporting heroes. By fundraising, you can play your part in helping Great Britain ’s emerging champions to achieve their potential, providing them with vital financial support, recognition of their talent and encouragement to succeed. To find out more about SportsAid visit www.sportsaid.org.uk.

And, as in 2008, the London events will be part of the Corporate Challenge's worldwide “Teaming Up For A Greener Tomorrow” campaign. The effort uses best environmental practices in organizing and staging races to make a positive impact. Thanks in part to your collective tactics last June — registering online, recycling waste and utilizing environmentally-friendly vendors for race night supplies — the Corporate Challenge was named by Runner’s World as one the Top 10 Green Road Races of 2008.

Should you require any help entering your team or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Team on 0845 680 1475. For now, organize your team and register early for the 2009 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in London.
