Part of the largest crowd in the history of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Johannesburg starts the race in 2015. The 13th annual race is scheduled April 7.

Johannesburg, 19 November 2015 — Get ready to register, Johannesburg. The 2016 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge registration period opens next week and the event will reach capacity fast.
Entries for the 13th annual Corporate Challenge at the Wanderers Club will begin to be accepted this coming Monday, November 23. All registration will be handled online and the necessary links and information can be found Monday on the Johannesburg home page of the Corporate Challenge Series website.
Race date is Thursday, April 7, 2016 — the first time this event has been held in the month of April. A full-capacity crowd of 13,000 entrants from approximately 225 companies is expected to participate. Companies are urged to begin the registration process as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge — a 3.5-mile (5.6km) run/walk with unmatched pre- and post-race hospitality — attracts businesses of all sizes from all industry groups throughout South Africa. The 10 largest companies in terms of entrants in 2015 were: Standard Bank (685 entrants), Nedbank (550), KPMG (546), Investec (500), Liberty (454), Rand Water (425), Deloitte (404), Dimension Data (298), Rand Merchant Bank (295) and PwC (294).
Total attendance in 2015 was 13,562 entrants from 221 companies, the largest in the history of the event.
Registration is R150 per entry. The must-attend event will culminate with a post-race concert being headlined by Beatenberg, who will get participants moving with their fresh pop sounds.
Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Entry provides the opportunity to also rub elbows with South African sporting and entertainment celebrities. Cricket legend Pat Symcox, Paralympian Gold Medalist Natalie du Toit, models Maps Maponyane and Kerry McGregor and TV personalities Dan Nicholl and Tumisho Masha were all among the attendees in 2015.
Johannesburg will be the first event in the 2016 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series, which will be marking its 40th consecutive year of operation.
