Ai You Foundation benefits
from 17 September Shanghai race
SHANGHAI, July 29, 2015 — The September 17 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center will benefit and serve as an awareness-builder for the Ai You Foundation.
This is the second consecutive year that the Corporate Challenge has partnered with Ai You Foundation. J.P. Morgan will make a donation to the Foundation on behalf of all participants at the 5.6km road race, part of the more than $750,000US that will be provided to not-for-profit organizations at 13 Corporate Challenge cities in 2015.
Ai You Foundation, now in its 11th year, seeks to build a biological philanthropic platform based on expansion of existing business and promote the penetration of philanthropic awareness among common households.
Specifically, Ai You is committed to providing medical aides to orphans and children living in poverty with an aim to grow into the best foundation for aids to kids. Its programs include:
- Ai You Young Heart: A surgical treatment project for orphaned and poor children with congenital heart diseases.
- Ai You Angel: Medical treatment project for orphaned and poor children with leukemia.
- Ai You Reborn: Medical nursing project for orphaned child patients.
- Ai You HeKang Rehab Center: Rehabilitation project for disabled children.
"We hope to fulfill our vision of building the best medical aid foundation for children around the world," said Wang Bing, Chairman, Ai You Foundation.
The work of the Ai You Foundation is felt directly in Shanghai in many tangible ways. For instance, the Ai You Young Heart project has treated over 2,000 children at Shanghai hospitals. The Ai You Reborn project has led to treatment for over 1,000 patients at the Shanghai Baby House, a nursing center at Children's Hospital of Shanghai that features 1,100 square meters with 20 rooms and 80 beds for children, as well as an activity center.
Ai You Foundation's partnership with the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in 2014 directly provided aid to children receiving treatment at Shanghai Baby's Home. The donation from J.P. Morgan not only helped the children recover fully from their ailments, but also raised the social awareness of philanthropy.
"We expect that society as a whole will focus more on charity initiatives and help the kids in need through this partnership with J.P. Morgan," said Wang Bing.
Registration for the Corporate Challenge is available through 14 August. It is an all-inclusive event open for employees of Shanghai businesses with a welcoming environment for racers, joggers and walkers. It is the perfect event for encouraging healthy activity, building company camaraderie, and supporting an important not-for-profit, the Ai You Foundation.
