Date scheduled: J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge celebrates its 30th anniversary in Frankfurt in the beginning of June
Frankfurt am Main, December 5, 2023 – The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is back in Frankfurt celebrating its 30th anniversary. The iconic 5.6 kilometers race through the high-rise canyons of the city will be held on the 5th June 2024, according to the recently published 2024 schedule of the world’s largest company running series. The round birthday of the Frankfurt run would have actually been on the agenda for 2023, due to a pandemic-related one-year interruption it is now taking place in 2024.
For the first time, runners from various companies in Frankfurt laced up their running shoes together back in 1993. The track took the 527 enthusiastic participants along Main river banks and Römerberg. In 1998 already 13,000 runners populated the streets of Frankfurt and in 2003, for the tenth anniversary, there were more than 45,000 runners at the Corporate Challenge. What started as a small event with more regional characteristics has since become the largest company running event in Germany with a focus on a good time together with the team, colleagues and the many participants, apart from the sports aspect.
Last year, there were 54,500 registered runners from more than 2,000 companies. Thus, the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge once again reinforced its position in the event calendar of the sports city of Frankfurt. The race wants to build on its great success also for its 30th anniversary. Alongside the European Football Championships there will be another summer highlight for the sports enthusiasts in the region and beyond.
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge has its roots in New York Central Park, where the first run took place in 1977. The global running series is now taking place in 16 locations, eight countries and six continents.
