New start (east), finish (west)
and distance (3.2 miles) in New York

NEW YORK, May 26, 2015 — Carefully prepare now to ensure you are heading in the right direction for the June 3-4 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® in Central Park.

Our 39th annual race in New York will have some significant changes, including a new start area, finish line and distance. We are running east to west this year:

  • The start is on East Drive, just south of the 79th Street Transverse underpass
  • The course runs counter-clockwise
  • The finish is on West Drive, near last year's Start Line

This year's course is a USATF-certified 3.2 mile distance and is restricted to the two left lanes of the park roadways. The right-side lane is reserved for the general public and for emergency vehicles during the race.

The first start corral is for elite competitors with red bibs. It is followed by five additional corrals for all other participants. Faster runners should line up in the front of each corral followed by joggers then walkers. Your official race time begins when you cross the start timing mat and ends when you cross the finish mat, so there is no need to push forward in the start area.

Participants will be released from the start line in six separate waves, beginning at 7 p.m. Thank you in advance for your patience; we estimate it will take a half-hour from the start of the first wave to the last.

Please review and print out the new course map and share with your colleagues.

Contact newyork@jpmorganchasecc.com with any questions and thank you for your advance preparation.
